2011, 6th gen. Kinda wish I got an older one, maybe a 4th.

Welp, while the 6th gen is a bit of a looker, the 5th gen is kinda gross

I personally love the MKIII (in general), and a 1998 TDI with a manual trans would just be the coyote's tail ... but they are too durned old, and getting hard to find parts for

Putting Dieselgate behind us, a 2017 Alltrac Sportwagen with a small lift and Falken Wildpeak Trails would be absolutely killer for camping

2011 Turbo Diesel with 6 speed auto DSG. Wish it had the 7 speed the later models did, since it's in 6th gear by 40MPH. My route to work is on a 40MPH road, but being city driving the efficiency isn't great. 2400RPM on highways :/

It's interesting how those DSGs are geared. Your 6-speed is designed to get into its highest gear as quickly as possible to maximize fuel economy on the open road. That's why you're in 6th by 40 MPH and only hitting 2400 RPM on the highway – it's really optimized for cruising. The 7-speed later models got a bit more flexibility with that extra gear, allowing for better acceleration in lower gears and still maintaining great highway efficiency with potentially even lower RPMs in 7th."

It's not a one-off. My A220, even with the 4MATIC, it’s quite efficient. It's got a really well-tuned 2.0L turbo engine, and a lot of it comes down to the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (7G-DCT) keeping the RPMs low at highway speeds. I also utilize the ECO drive mode quite a bit. What kind of Jetta do you have? Sometimes even small differences in engine tuning or transmission can make a big difference.

Welp, the EPA rates the A220 4MATIC @ 24 MPG city / 34 hwy (combined average 28 MPG), so it may be that yer little German fuel computer is lying to you :\

I mean hypermilers are able to outduel the already stringent EPA testers, but not by double

It may even be that you had just reset the mileage computer after filling up, and the true consumption has not yet set in

My Jetta loves to lie to me about my fuel efficiency, it'll consistently display ~38MPG by the end of most trips, but when I do the math I'm getting like 32. It's very ambitious.

Okay so I know that we're probably talking about Sims 4 here, but I've found a face preset for snouts for Sims 2 on modthesims (search for "lupine" on the site). It's not perfect for my standards but you can easily adjust it if you have the extra sliders mod for Body Shop. The skins you can get from genensims along with accessories like ears and tails.
Unfortunately, that's about it. To my knowledge, the accessories persist even while in shower or swimming, but I haven't tested if the skins get inherited to offsprings or not.
Edit: one issue is that you can't easily get rid of the human ears without editing the skin. I just give my sims long hair to sorta hide them.

Sadly, new new vehicles are becoming 💩

They are filled with overcomplicated, unnecessary, and overpriced tech and electronics (that shiny marketing makes people think they need) which just fails with absurd frequency, and once your basic 3 or 4 year warranty is up, it is all bad news; the commonness of the CVT transmission across manufacturers is exceptionally worrisome

Toyota used to make good cars and trucks; post-COVID, their build quality and reliability is sliding badly

The dealer who sold me sold me this car did warn me about certain electronic malfunctions at certain times and that in case it ever happens, I should take it to the dealership. @W0LFB3AT5:

Even with my last car, a 1.0L 3 cylinder turbo Focus with the 6spd manual (with two OD top gears, and 50 HP less than yer Benz), I was only able to wring out about 42-43MPG combined driving gently

... and I rarely drive gently; if I did in my current truck, the adaptive learning transmission would drive like a sack of foreskins
(I rarely get better than 20MPG now, but it is a V6 4x4)

HOW?! Are you consistently getting over 50MPG or is that just a one off thing? From what I've seen online most people get around 24MPG in those. I have to really push my Jetta to get 40MPG when it's supposed to get 42 on highway.

My car is supposed to average around 8.8L/100km but most of the time it's over 10L/100km.

E: not to mention how everything in sims land is a bit too... perfect... everyone's the same height and everything. no variances what-so-ever. not all that digestible palette-able tbh.

why is the logo still pride flavored? I'm gay and so is half of everyone else here but it is well into July now

Why am I so drawn to watching Bigfoot and Yeti Vlogs? 😆
