I don't believe the mordetwi tag even is valid unless the art includes aspects of the meme

No, no, no! MordeTwi is a pairing (ship), not a meme. "Airplanes" is not even supposed to be relevant here!
If we're talking... tagging about the meme itself, the appropriate tag name would be Airplanes. I mean, that was even the literal title of the original drawing, the "MordeTwi" part is just parenthesized – an afterthought.

Like I said: not every MordeTwi art is the Airplanes meme. But also: not every Airplanes meme art is MordeTwi.

Thanks to telling me what to do, though, I appreciate it.

Is it even appropriate to conflate MordeTwi with "meme"? ...

Just tag Mordecai and Twilight Sparkle characters and don't use the mordetwi tag. The tag implicates meme, so if the tag is present then meme will also always automatically be added. You can't remove it unless you also remove the Mordetwi tag.
I don't believe the mordetwi tag even is valid unless the art includes aspects of the meme (ie the lyrics, space aesthetic, etc.). If you believe the implication should be changed/removed, you can create a discussion about it in the forum or discuss in the discord, and then a BUR for users to discuss and vote on it further. In this case it would be unimply mordetwi -> meme

Is it even appropriate to conflate MordeTwi with "meme"? Can I even change the implications for the "mordetwi" tag; how do I do that? I think it's erroneous to call it a meme, especially since ships here aren't even automatically counted as a meme (AFAIK), yet MordeTwi seems to be the only exception to this. The idea that MordeTwi is a meme stems from the false attribution with the "Airplanes" art – mistakenly proclaimed as the conception/origin of the pairing; or that the ship supposedly was started off as a "joke pairing" (like it was invented in the Post-Irony era).

Somebody, tell the mods to remove the "meme" implication from MordeTwi or something; not every MordeTwi fan art is a meme art!

for me it's _mostly_ Konami that I feel this about. but at the same time, it's Konami, so it's not like I've really missed out on anything, seeing as all their flagship series have been dead since 2015 anyway (sans remakes, releases, and spin-offs).

to be completely honest I don't feel like I'm missing out on much with any of my other boycotts either. like, for me, Take-Two was pretty much just Borderlands and I do not care what happens in that series after 3, those characters are dead to me.

the only one that kinda hurts is Ninty, but like, ehh.

and, I mean. I've always kind of leaned indy anyway, so in reality, the amount of sacrifice I'm actually making is kinda negligible.

but, yeah, I kinda agree with the sentiment. it feels impossible to have any interest in purchasing almost any new game from any studio and any publisher (outside of indies and, like, maybe three exceptions), at this point... or, honestly, the same's true for most other forms of media as well.

I'm not at that point yet, it's Bethesda specifically I dislike.
Starfield being a soulless corporate snooze-fest soured my view of them, in a way that none of their prior missteps did.

But what if I don't want to give Bethesda money.

it is on Game Pass. so, you can, like, obfuscate the fact that you're spending money on a Bethesda game. although then you've got to give your money to Microsoft instead, so...

Soooo after an hour and 10 minutes of protecting the Emperor, I just realized that you have to let him die in order to progress in the story. I accidentally became the world’s best swordsman without even leaving the prison

@WispTheHusky: I feel like it'd be difficult to fully automate sound_warning.

in my opinion, the valid uses of this tag would be at least the following:

  • just loud throughout
  • sudden rise in volume
  • unexpected sex sounds or moaning

essentially any situation that would lead a user to jump to mute/lower their volume or cover their phone speaker.

scrolling into a comment section and finding that someone had already commented the exact joke you were about to post is kinda cool.
