Character: professor elm
Professor Elm (Japanese: ウツギ博士 UTSUGI-hakase Dr. Utsugi) is the Pokémon Professor of the Generation II. He specializes in Pokémon reproduction and is also credited with discovering Pokémon Eggs.
Elm gives Ethan, Kris or Lyra the choice of their Johto Starter: Chikorita, Cyndaquil or Totodile.
He's light-skinned and has brown hair, eyebrows and eyes of the same color. He is shown wearing glasses, a lab coat over a blue shirt, with green pants and brown shoes.
Finally, he was the pupil of Samuel Oak.
