The most popular and widespread religion in the world, based around the belief that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and is the Son of God. It is one of the three Abrahamic faiths along with Judaism (its predecessor) and Islam (its successor). Like the other Abrahamic faiths, it is a monotheistic religion believing in an almighty creator god who is served by angels. Christianity posits the existence of an immortal soul that travels to either Heaven or Hell upon death depending on the virtue of the soul's actions during life, though denominations differ on the specifics. Demons in Christianity are monsters who reside in Hell and/or tempt mortals into sin. Hell is usually considered to be ruled by Lucifer, an angel who rebelled against God and was cast into Hell as punishment; however, this story is not part of canonical Christian scripture, and is subject to many different interpretations and retellings.

Christianity has strict rules surrounding sex: Homosexuality, masturbation, and sex outside of marriage are traditionally seen as sins, and Christian priests are usually sworn to vows of celibacy. This makes Christianity a popular topic in pornography, either for the purposes of creating sacrilegious art or to examine the erotic and psychological tension of sexual repression that often results from Christianity's sexual prohibitions.
