Wait, I thought they dropped it.

Anyway, porn will soon be dead on the Internet, and so does privacy.

Pack your bags, goons. We're leaving.

I'd honestly be better off without it. I've wasted so many years because of it.

Yeah, but what about social media? What about news sites? What about... basically everything on the Internet?

I'm talking about porn in general. The only social media apps I've ever used was Facebook and Reddit. Their communities drove me away. I just stick with YouTube

Well, have fun spending time on YouTube. You won't know when they sneak some form of spyware.

As if Google hasn't already collected enough users' information without them knowing

I do know new users for PlayStation had to do the age verification awhile ago but not old accounts.

That... sounds bad... for new users.

If you're having fun it's not a waste.

Also, note to whatever staff member who is inevitably going to lock this thread: If you want these threads to stop then answer peoples' questions rather than leaving everyone in the dark to speculate until the literal last second and handing out records to anyone who asks. Simple and easy solution.

How about you actually read the existing threads instead of asking the same questions over and over again?
This is going to be the fifth thread this week about age verification laws (spanning across Arizona, the US, the UK, and the EU) that the mods will inevitably lock because people can't stop doomposting, conspiracy-posting, or discussing about politics that have no place whatsoever here on e6.

Don't know where to start? Read the main thread @ topic #57070 and the mod's final comment about the topic.
You will not get any further details other than that since that is literally all that we know.

It would be nice if that was pinned somewhere because at the moment it's kinda hard to find, as it's not getting new posts therefore it isn't getting bumped so it will be buried. Also this thread is much older than the recent issue, check the date on the OP.

I guess no one brought up Australia and its own law.
