In the book itself, he is described as a leopard who can take the shape of a man, and his powers include providing the summoner true answers to arcane questions, providing them an education in all liberal sciences, and driving whoever the summoner wants mad. He is listed as a Great President of Hell, and depending on the source may control three to thirty legions of demonic soldiers.

He is an uncommon demon in the Megami Tensei series and a considerably more common Persona, where his appearance is based on the descriptions given in the Lesser Key of Solomon.
