A cyborg that has replaced a majority (if not all) of their body parts with cybernetics. Others may still have remnants of their old organic parts attached such a hand here, a foot there, or even their head or just the face still intact. Some are but a brain in a jar connected to a robot body.
Not to be confused with
- Power Armor - The other is a wearable suit of armor while this one is the character's body itself.
- Mech - The pilot is independent from the mech and can disembark whenever they want.
- Robot - If there's no flesh left and they're just a brain uploaded digital copy inside a robot body then they're essentially just a robot now.
Examples
- In Cyberpunk franchise these individuals are called "full borgs". The most well known example being Adam Smasher.
- The Cybermen from Doctor Who.
- Warhammer 40,000
- The Adeptus Mechanicus; A machine-worshipping cult that replaces their body parts with machine. Higher ranking cultists are often more machine than man.
- Dreadnoughts; Crippled space marines entombed inside a mech. This ranges from a quadruple amputee, a head, or just a brain and some organs suspended in life support.
- Raiden from the Metal Gear series. He's just a head with a missing jaw attached to a robot body.
- Alex Murphy from the Robocop franchise. In the original he's just a brain, a hand, and the skin of his face stapled on a robot head.
