Chris Redfield is a former member of the Special Tactics and Rescue Service, or S.T.A.R.S. He first appeared in Capcom's famous game Resident Evil for the PS1 on March 22, 1998. He is considered Hard mode because he only starts off with a combat knife,while Jill Valentine starts off with a Beretta that uses 9mm Parabellum rounds.
