The Adeptus Astartes, or Space Marines, are genetically altered posthuman supersoldiers from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. They stand about eight feet tall, weigh a thousand pounds without armour due to hyperdense bone and muscle, and are implanted with 18 or 21 (for Primaris) additional organs including a second heart, third lung, bionic interface for their armour, acid glands, and more.
