Tav, short for the Tadpoled Adventurer is the default name of the custom Origin Character in Baldur's Gate 3.

Tav has no established race, gender, or class, although due to the nature of the gameplay, by default Tav has the appearance of a female, high-elf, barbarian. Tav appears in the Baldur's Gate 3 prequel comic Murder in Baldur's Gate where they are a detective in the city investigating and ultimately killed by The Dark Urge.
