Dawn (ヒカリ Hikari in Japanese) is the female player character in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Versions, as well as Professor Rowan's assistant if she is not chosen as the player character. Her male counterpart is Lucas. She is a human Pokémon trainer.

In the anime, Dawn has the same appearance but a different role: She is a coordinator who becomes a traveling companion of Ash Ketchum.
