A condom that has been cast aside or thrown onto the ground or another surface. A discarded condom may also be seen in, or hanging out of, a garbage bin.

Depending on the state of the condom, and the context of the scene, a discarded condom can imply a variety of different narratives:

• A discarded, wrapped condom - or an unwrapped, but unused condom - can imply that a character decided to have unprotected sexual activity after planning to have, or was proposed to have safe sex.
• A discarded, filled condom (not being worn, nor laying on a character), implies that a character has had penetrative sex, possibly multiple times,
• If the character is alone, and has a penis, it can imply a character has masturbated into a condom.

Note: A discarded condom wrapper should not be tagged as discarded condom, but instead as discarded object
