Character: igraine

Igraine is a character belonging to Liarborn.

She exists within a fictional world that loosely ties together Liarborn's continuity of characters, where she belongs to the species Chthon. In this setting it's implied that some great upheaval resulted in previously undiscovered sapient species on planet earth being discovered all at once. A globe-spanning organization called the CINP (Center for the Integration of Non-Human Persons) was formed to help establish these people among human civilization, giving them the tools required to become legally recognized beings.

Igraine is a teacher of spoken English working for the CINP. As a Chthon, she has very unusual traits; a lack of eyes chiefly among them. Her navigational senses include extremely sensitive skin, a nose far more capable than that of a human, six small pore-like ears that run along each side of her otherwise featureless head in sets of three, and large flat foot pads that pick up vibrations through the ground. Igraine is implied to be elderly among her kind, and she has mentioned off hand that she has one child, and is a grandmother. It is also implied that her white fur is the result of age, rather than a standard colouration of Chthon fur in their prime years.

Other interesting trivia about Igraine includes the fact that she learns languages fairly easily, being a capable speaker of at least four, including the native tongue of her kind. Igraine has demonstrated once that Chthon biology involves an extremely slow metabolic process, akin to that of a snake, and she will eat around 1/3rd of her body weight in raw meat around 5 times yearly. She also once claimed that her ears are able to process audio information independently, and she is capable of listening to multiple audiobooks at once without missing details, so long as she is using earbuds.
