The time lapse tag has two general use cases:

Single frame time elapses

Posts that depict a span of time within a single scene.

Sequence transitions

Posts that have an obvious gap in time between frames. The gap between images should not be evenly distributed like a sequence. It should be a sudden or abrupt change such as what is seen in instant loss 2koma. The time that has elapsed should be referenced in the scene, but this is not a hard requirement.

Not to be confused with

• art_progression - The tag for sped up depictions of the drawing process.
• sequence - A progression of an event represented as a series of images. Most examples of sequences are not useful to have this tag.
