Kitsunebi (狐火) is a type of Japanese ghost light, somewhat similar to the Will-o'-the-wisp in the western folklore.
It is a floating ball of fire, said to be created by foxes with their tails. In modern media it is most often seen in Japanese games and manga, usually depicted as a blue flame.
