Species: mara (rodent)

Mara (Dolichotis) are a genus of South American rodents known as cavies. Able to run up to 18 mph (29kph), they're also among the few rodents with digitigrade feet. Although often described as resembling long-legged rabbits, they are not lagomorphs. They are the fourth largest living rodents in the world, after capyberas, beavers, and porcupines. Only two species of mara exist: the Patagonian mara and the Chacoan mara.
