An individual who delivers letters and packages to specified destinations, while working for a postal service. "Postal carriers" are more popularly known as postal workers, or referred to with gendered terms such as mailman/mailwoman or postman/postwoman.

Characters working as postal carriers are almost always depicted with a large, over the shoulder satchels, they will usually have a prominent logo featuring elements such as an envelope, post horn, and/or wings, on their cap, shirt, or satchel. They may be shown with, or driving in, a postal van.

Postal uniforms vary by country, but typically consist of a collared or button-up shirt, a coat or jacket (depending on weather conditions), the jacket may possibly be in high visibility colours (or they may wear a safety vest, bottomwear is limited to slacks or shorts. Postal workers may be shown wearing baseball caps, peaked caps, wide brimmed safari helmets, or bucket hats.
