Sandshrew (サンド) is a Ground-type Pokémon. It evolves into Sandslash, and is in the Field egg group.

Sandshrew is a bipedal Pokémon. Its yellow hide is dry, tough, blends in with desert sand, and has a brick pattern, but its underbelly and muzzle are tan. Sandshrew has blue, almond-shaped eyes, a pointed snout, and triangular ears with tan insides. Its tail is thick and conical. It has two long claws on each foot and three sharp claws on its forepaws, which are used to burrow.

Shiny Sandshrew is green.

Sandshrew is feral in its canon form, but it doesn't take many changes to push it into anthro instead. The semi-anthro subtag often applies.
