A femme fatale is a character of a mysterious and seductive woman whose charms ensnare her lovers, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations.

This dates back to the film noir days of the 1940s.

In cartoons, some examples include Hatta Mari in Plane Daffy, or Minerva Mink in "This Pun For Hire".
