A standing sex position where both partners are facing in the same direction.
Both characters should be standing freely with their feet on the ground. The receiver may be leaning forward slightly, but not so far that bent over would apply. The penetrating partner is often resting hands on the receivers hips or shoulders.
If a male is receiving, this is often combined with a reach around. But otherwise there is very little grabbing or lifting done in this position. For instance, if the receivers arms are being grabbed, the prison guard position is usually a better fit than bodyguard.
Can also be tagged for non-penetrative sex done in this position, such as hot dogging and thigh sex.
If the characters are both kneeling instead of standing, then this position becomes kneeling bodyguard position instead. If the receiver is bent over and it is not prison guard position, then the position becomes standing doggystyle instead.
If penetrated character is flipped, it becomes standing missionary position.
