General Muscle Guide

Tail muscles are an informal grouping of multiple muscles and tendons running along the length of a characters Tail including the caudofemoralis and caudal Longissimus/ Spinalis among others. They facilitate movement of the tail as well as supporting the weight of the tail.

Tail muscles are often visible as light furrows or indentations running parallel to the length of tail bisecting the tail into separate regions, furrows which are created by the divides between the individual muscles. Common presentations may also include a elongated bulge on the underside of the tail that forks to bound the sides of the anus/ genital opening.

If the tail muscles are well developed and visible in the picture then it should be tagged.
