An achievement is an accomplishment earned through skills, courage, and effort.

This term also refers to video game achievements, a metagame concept for video game services (including Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Steam, and others) where players are awarded for completing specific goals in video games. Completing a necessary goal to earn one is called "unlocking" an achievement. Players who play games to earn as many achievements as possible are called "Achievement Hunters" (named after the Rooster Teeth division Achievement Hunter).
