Renamon (Japanese: レナモン Renamon) is an anthro canine species with fox like attributes from the Digimon franchise. Renamon is typically covered in yellow fur with white or tan countershading down the front, and including the dipstick markings on the tail and ears. Other notable traits include the fox like ears, and muzzle, thick tufts of fur on the shoulders, and arms, and purple double tomoe thigh markings. The default model of this species also wears clothing in the form of purple bridal gauntlets.

The designer and illustrator of Renamon was watabane kenji (lead artist of the Digimon franchise) under the creative supervision of Chiaki J. Konaka (head scriptwriter of Digimon Tamers, 2001). Its conceptualization integrated elements from Japanese folklore, particularly the kitsune and yokais, evident in symbolic motifs such as the yin-yang, tomoe_(symbol) (swirling patterns), and themes drawn from Shinto and Buddhist traditions.
The Digimon Reference Book describes Renamon’s species as follows: “A Beast Man Digimon with the appearance of a golden Fox. The relationship Renamon has with humans is directly apparent; it is said that depending on how it was raised during its time as a Baby, it can evolve into a Renamon of particularly high intelligence. It is always calm, cool, and collected, as well as disciplined enough not to lose that composure in any situation. Its slender, tall appearance stands out when compared with other Child levels, and rather than emphasizing on power in battle, it instead makes sport of the enemy with various techniques that utilize its speed. Its Signature Move is a transformation art in which it copies the opponent's appearance and re-covers itself in that texture (Kohenkyo). Its Special Move is throwing sharpened leaves at the opponent (Koyousetsu).”

Despite this relationship, Renamon is treated as a species tag, which makes it ineligible for character specific tags such as crossgender.
