Renamon doodles
Breaking in a .25 pen I found squirreled in the back of a drawer and practicing non-rotation coloring for when I finally do livestreaming (so I don't cause motion sickness, working with an Intuos and no elbow space)
I remember when Digimon was Tamagotchi for boys and the first dozen or so creatures were monsters wrapped in leather, covered in blades, with gratuitious guns tacked on. Did some researching and apparently designs softened during the Cardgame era.
The Rena on the left is based on the card version, design wise isn't feminine per say, those thunder thighs may very well be baggy shinobi-pants stereotyping. The popular Rena is the second one, streamlined for animation.
The third is just something I played around with, extending on the shinobi perspective.
(Were the boobs pointless? Certainly. But that's how I roll.)
