Law enforcement officers who have the duty to keep their cities (and sometimes their entire counties and/or states) safe from crime, which means bringing suspects to justice through arrests and other actions. They are often recognizable through a blue uniform with a black vest, and officers have a special badge used as a symbol of their authority.

In terms of the furry fandom, many characters from popular media either are officers or interact with them, with an example being Judy Hopps of Zootopia.
