Clube Atlético Mineiro, also referred to as “Galo” (rooster), is a Brazilian football/soccer club based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The main colors of the club are black and white, these colors being the main component of their club badge and kits.

The club itself has become well-known across Brazil and South America due to both their domestic and continental triumphs, most notably having 3 Brazilian Série A titles, 2 Copa do Brasils, and a CONMEBOL Libertadores trophy to their name.

Atlético Mineiro also has and maintains a fierce cross-city rivalry with Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, a rivalry which has come to be dubbed the “Clássico Mineiro”.
