The Skalgans are a race of aliens in the science fiction web serial novel The Nature of Predators, once native to the planet "Skalga".
Skalgans are herbivorous, bipedal mammals slightly shorter than the average human. They vaguely resemble anthropomorphic sheep with their side-facing eyes and wool-covered bodies. Skalgans were once known for their warrior culture and stubborn nature, but had disappeared by the main events of The Nature of Predators.
"Skalgan" is the original name for the Venlil prior to their genetic modification and uplift.
