Marianne von Edmund is a playable character in Fire Emblem Three Houses, as a member of the Golden Deer house. She is a human magic user skilled in healing magic. She is very withdrawn, and prefers the company of animals to people. She is also deeply religious.

Marianne bears the cursed Crest of Maurice, which her father told her will cause her to transform into a monster. This gives her severe self-loathing and suicidal tendencies. Though her father was mistaken about the Crest turning her into a monster, it is popular for fanworks to explore the idea of her having a monstrous form.
