Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem is a tactical RPG developed by Intelligent Systems and released on the Super Famicom in 1994. It is the 3rd entry in the Fire Emblem series and a direct sequel to the first game. A remake, New Mystery of the Emblem, was released on the DS in 2010. The story sees Marth betrayed by his old friend Hardin, and he is forced to fight his former allies as he uncovers the reason for his friend's sudden corruption.

The remake introduces several additional characters, including a player avatar. However, they are all human and thus of minimal interest.

Though we also have a tag for Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, characters from the two games are currently implied solely to Mystery of the Emblem for simplicity, as there are no major Shadow Dragon characters who aren't also present in Mystery of the Emblem.
