A motion arrow is a type of movement indicator that reflects how something is moving, or where it is going to move. Motion arrows are most likely always a type of contextual arrow.

A similar type of indicator that someone doubles as a motion arrow is the cyclical arrow. Cyclical arrows are a single arrow, or sequence of arrows that ends up pointing back to an earlier point in the sequence forming an arrow loop.
