A somewhat-opaque mass of water vapor or smoke, similar to a rain cloud, used to show that two or more characters are attacking each other in violent but unspecified ways. The cloud dissipates when the fight has concluded, often leading to a scene with the characters involved looking injured and exhausted.

In still images, various body parts of the characters involved (hands, feet, tails, etc) can usually be seen sticking out of the cloud.

In animation, various body parts of the characters involved will appear and disappear from different parts of the cloud at different times.
