Koops is a shy Koopa Troopa from the Nintendo video game Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door who hails from Petalburg town. His role is identical to his predecessor, Kooper, but with a personality being the exact opposite.

Koops is depicted as a coward when he's first met, but upon meeting Mario, he changes and becomes a brave Koopa, most especially for his girlfriend, Koopie Koo.
His father is Koopley.

On his face, his left eyelid is half-closed and he has a bandage on his nose.
He wears a light-blue hoodie under his Koopa shell, blue pants and white shoes.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, he is the second partner to join Mario's (after Goombella).
