When a hand is placed on a character's ankle. It may be part of a pose, a sign of affection, a complement to a sex scene. There are numerous use cases for this tag. If a character has their hands on more than one ankle of a single character, use hands_on_ankles instead.

The ankle region on e621 can be described as a narrow area of the leg separating the calf, and foot. It can be recognized as the area directly above a character's heel. Due to its proximity to other parts of the lower leg, it is sometimes also tagged as a shin, calf, or foot action.
