SCP-860-2 is the third anomalous object of SCP-860, a.k.a. "The Blue Key". SCP-860 is an ordinary dark blue colored key of modern design that that has a set of coordinates engraved on it. These coordinates will periodically change supernaturally. When the coordinates change, if the key is inserted into any door with a lock within the coordinates, the door will be unlocked and will transport anyone who enters it to a small forest clearing centered on an 80 cm wide footpath, designated SCP-860-1. After passing through the doorway, the door will automatically shut and trap its victims inside of SCP-860-1. The only way to escape is to follow the path to the end until you reach another door, which will lead to the original destination.

While traveling through the forest, travelers may encounter SCP-860-2, a.k.a. "The Guardian". SCP-860-2 is a large feline creature that walks on four legs with bark-like skin and dull gray vegetation covering most of its body. It has a long, broad tail, pointed ears, and bright yellow symbols on its chest and head. In addition, its eyes are bright enough to be seen in 860-1's dense fog. It is predatory in nature and will display hostility toward anything within 860-1. The Forest Beast will initially appear docile until a certain amount of time passes with foreigners in SCP-860-1, at which point it will relentlessly hunt down the visitor and maul them to death.
