Tweety Bird, also known just as Tweety, is a small yellow anthropomorphic bird who originates from Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons of the early 1940s.

Though misconceptions about his sex are common, Tweety is a male character, though the difference between his appearance, voice, and sex is often referenced in cartoons he is featured in. Tweety is sometimes referenced as a canary, though oftentimes his species is more ambiguous, being called merely a "Tweety Bird," a rare and often sought-after type of bird.

Tweety was initially presented as a rather aggressive character hiding behind a sweet demeanor, though over time his personality has become more close to his presentation–cute and harmless. Regardless, he usually manages to foil the attempts of a character like Sylvester to eat him, intentionally or otherwise.
