On September 25, 2013, artist Andy Price was asked "who is (I must assume) Scratch's mom (or dad?) modeled after?" and replied "I think more big brother, considering the high school setting. Modeled after her, really, just a varied color scheme", and colorist Heather Breckel also replied that this pony is not DJ Pon-3's father.
