Yogi Bear is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon character and star of the Yogi Bear Show created by William Hannah, Joseph Barbera, and Ed Benedict. He is a brown bear who wears a green hat, a collar and necktie and claims himself as "smarter than the average bear". He is modeled after actor Art Carney and is originally voiced by Daws Butler.

The cartoons usually follow his misadventures in Jellystone Park, as he and his companion Boo-Boo would attempt to steal picnic baskets (or pic-a-nic baskets as he would call them) while also trying to get away from Ranger Smith for their scheming actions.

Yogi Bear started as a series segments for the Huckleberry Hound Show in 1958 and soon gain popularity as a Hanna-Barbera’s first breakout star from it, even more so than Huck. He later gained a spin-off show in 1961, and has later appeared in future media since, including more cartoons, comics, video games, specials, an animated movie, and a live action movie in 2010 with Dan Aykroyd as the bear himself.
