Rupees (pronounced /ˈɹuːpiː/ ROO-pee) are items in The Legend of Zelda series. They are the unit of currency within most games, in circulation in the lands of Hyrule, the Dark World, Koholint Island, Termina, Labrynna, Holodrum, the Great Sea, the World of the Ocean King, New Hyrule, Skyloft, Lorule and Hytopia. They resemble hexagonal gemstones, come in many colors and sizes, and are most often stored within a Wallet.

They are named after the real life Indian Currency.
