
Species: golden-hooded tanager
The golden-hooded tanager (Tangara larvata) is a medium sized passerine bird belonging to the Tanager family Thraupidae. The species can be identified by its golden head feathers, with black mask markings around the eyes with blue feathers above and below it. The upperparts of the body are black apart from the turquoise shoulders, rump and edgings of the wings and tail. The flanks are blue and the central belly is white.
