
Species: cock-of-the-rock
Cock-of-the-rocks are members of the genus Rupicola and passerine birds belonging to the family Cotingidae. Members of this genus can be recognized by their distinctive rounded head crest and bright orange plumage. Only males of the species feature this plumage, females typically have a brown plumage. The size of the head crest is also smaller in female species.
