A slice, cut, or gash in body tissue caused by a sharp cutting instrument such as a bladed weapon, knife, razor, or broken shard of glass, bottle etc. Posts featuring slit wounds may suggest suicide, attempted suicide, or an attempt by another character to torture or kill another character. For cases where the wound is healed, and only the scar is visible slit_(scar) is more appropriate.

Whip marks may be considered as slit wounds if they are severe enough.
