
Species: black vulture
The American black vulture (Coragyps atratus) is a species of New World vulture belonging to the family Cathartidae. It's body is covered in black feathers, but its head and neck is grey and featherless.
This tag should only be used for the New World species. For the Old World species also referred to as a black vulture, see cinereous_vulture and red-headed_vulture.
