Disney's Hollywood Studios is third of the four theme parks in Walt Disney World located in Bay Lake, Florida, opening as Disney-MGM Studios on May 1, 1989; the park was renamed to its current name on January 7, 2008. The park initially focused on the art and magic of filmmaking, containing various production facilities for films and television including soundstages, backlots, and an animation studio (where Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, and Brother Bear were produced). However, after its renaming, the park shifted its focus to immersive themes inspired by Hollywood films. The park is the only one of the four at Walt Disney World to not have any of its opening day attractions still in operation; the last one, The Great Movie Ride, closed on August 13, 2017. The park's current de facto icon is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, a 199-foot (60.7 m) drop tower attraction themed after Rod Sterling's classic CBS anthology TV series that opened in 1994.
