Grookey (サルノリ Sarunori) is a Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII, announced on February 27, 2019, as the grass type member of the starter trio featured in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Grookey is a quadrupedal, primate-like Pokémon. Its body is brown, green, orange, and yellow, with a brown tail and ears, orange upon its mouth and tipping its limbs, and a yellow facial disc surrounding its eyes. Atop its head are a pair of leaves, which holds a stick it seems to use as both a form of accessory and as a tool or possible improvised weapon.
