Species: black rhinoceros

The black rhinoceros, also known as the hook-lipped rhinoceros, is a species of rhino. It is one of the two African species, the other being the white rhinoceros. Although black is in the name, its general skin coloration can vary from brown to grey.

Like its other common name implies, it is distinguished by its pointed or hooked upper lip, where its white relative has a cubic shaped and wide upper lip. They utilize their hooked lip, similar to trunks, to pluck leaves and fruits from the trees and shrubs they forage.
