Ambient butterflies are small subtle butterflies found off in the background of an image. Ambient butterflies usually behave in a manner consistent with feral butterflies, and contain no anthropomorphic traits. Removing an ambient butterfly would do little to change the feel of an image. They're mostly just there to make the world feel a little more alive. If the main character is interacting with or touching the butterfly in question, it's probably not an ambient butterfly.

Unless a non-ambient butterfly is also depicted, butterfly SHOULD NOT be tagged.

If a butterfly is a furry character, tag the image as butterfly furry to distinguish it from an ambient butterfly.
