Ambient fish are small subtle fish found off in the distance in an image. Removing an ambient fish would do little to change the feel of an image. They're mostly just there to make the world feel a little more alive. If the main character is interacting with or touching the fish in question, it's probably not an ambient fish.

Creatures that are not fish should be tagged ambient sealife instead. Unless a non-ambient fish is also depicted, fish SHOULD NOT be tagged.
