A type of face painting where the paint is intended to look like a skull.
This is frequently found in Day of the Dead artwork, with the skull design specifically made to resemble a sugar skull. Characters dressed as a skeleton for Halloween may use face paints to provide the illusion of a skull on their face, sometimes with the rest of their body painted to resemble a skeleton as well.
