Rocky and Bullwinkle is an animated cartoon media franchise created by Jay Ward. It stars an anthropomorphic duo, the moose Bullwinkle and the flying squirrel Rocky, as they have their wacky adventures and thwart the villains Boris and Natasha.

Known for its iconic writing and dry, witty humor and use of satire and self referential humor, it has since been regarded positively and is heavily acclaimed, often pointed to as a heavy inspiration for other future influential animated series, such as The Simpsons.
