Species: vulture
Vultures are two groups of scavenging birds of prey referred to as the New World vultures and the Old World vultures. They are found on every continent except Australia and Antarctica.
They are well known for scavenging carcasses, having bald heads, and hunched bodies. Their bald heads and body language, as well as their tendencies to open their wings and stretch, are due to their methods of thermoregulation, utilizing these movements and particular body structures to retain or expel heat.

Not to be confused with

- gryphon - while vulture gryphons are a thing, the griffon vulture is also the name of a species, and the species in itself is not inherently a gryphon.
